News: 5 hours agoGeneral manager Jeff Pagliocca said Thursday that Stevens (knee) has resumed full basketball activities and is "hopefully a few weeks away" from returning to game action, Jack Maloney of CBS Sports reports.

Spin: Stevens has missed the start of training camp due to her knee injury, and she was unavailable for both of the Sky's preseason matchups. Although she seems to be trending in the right direction, Pagliocca's comments suggest that Stevens' status for the team's Opening Night matchup in Portland on May 9 is in question. Even if Stevens is unavailable against the Fire, it wouldn't be surprising to see her return early in the regular season, though Chicago could elect to ease her into action once she's deemed available.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: After missing the first half of the 2024 season following left arm surgery, Stevens posted several career highs in 2025 and finished second in the Most Improved Player voting. The 30-year-old forward appeared in all 44 regular-season games, averaging career highs in points (12.8), rebounds (8.0), assists (2.1), steals (1.2) and minutes (28.4) along with 1.1 blocks per contest. However, it's worth noting that she was more productive before the All-Star break, as Cameron Brink missed the first 25 games of the campaign. Still, Stevens was great in fantasy and contributed on both ends of the floor. Stevens was an unrestricted free agent during the offseason and elected to sign a three-year contract with the Sky. She should have the chance to build upon her momentum in 2025 after Chicago traded Angel Reese to the Dream this spring, and Stevens will get to continue working alongside Sparks teammate Rickea Jackson with her new team.
